News, Recordings, Tours, Distortion

Destructioneers..:

It has been a while since a news update. For most, that would mean being lazy. For us, it means we haven't had a moment to sit down and give out news.

So, here it all is (that I can think of):

First and foremost, starting next week, we will embark on a six week tour around the country.
The first five weeks will see us heading out with The Black Dahlia Murder, Skeletonwitch and Toxic Holocaust. We'll be opening the package, so make sure to come early and, preferably, ready to rage.
After one day off, we will head right back out for another week with Seattle's/San Diego'..s/London's finest, Narrows. The last four dates will be headlined by this little band you may have heard of. Their name is Cave In.
"Fuck yeah" is correct, sir / madam.

All the dates are at the bottom of this little update....more off dates on the BDM tour will be posted as more info is made available to us. Some will be with Skeletonwitch, some with Toxic Holocaust, some with both.

In recording news, the new Trap Them 12" EP has been finished and is being mastered very soon. It was done over five days in September at Godcity with our spiritual distortionist advisor, Kurt Ballou.
It will be released by the mighty Southern Lord. We are truly excited to work these guys.
A compact disc version is in the works. Details forthcoming, but for now, this will be just for all you vinyl enthusiasts.
The EP is entitled "Filth Rations" and contains three brand new songs & a rerecording of an older song..
Track listing is as follows:

Day Thirty-Nine : Degenerate Binds
Day Thirty-Eight : Carnage Incarnate
Day Forty : Dead Fathers Wading in the Bodygrounds
Day Seven : Digital Dogs With Analog Collars

Heavy is an understatement.

Chris Maggio joined the band on drums for the recording and will be on tour with us for the remainder of 2009 and the beginning of 2010. Needless to say, we are excited to have another dude in the van that likes to blow shit up and drink coffee by the gallons. Well, that and the fact that he fucking RAGES on the drums.

Last but not least, the writing is well underway for our Prosthetic Records debut LP, which will be recorded in spring of 2010 with a hopeful summer release.

Oh, and Australia......we're going to be rabidly inside of you soon. Nothing has been announced, but if you're a fucking nerd and scour the internet for news, odds are you'll find out what's happening.

That's it. No more news.
Here are the dates. Get fucking pissed:

CITAZIONE
On Monday, Trap Them will convene in Salem, Mass. at Godcity studio with Kurt Ballou (Converge, Disfear, Black Breath) to commence recording their Prosthetic Records' debut (and third full-length album overall).

This will be their first full-length to feature drummer Chris Maggio, formerly of Coliseum.

The band has also launched a new blog where they will be documenting the recording process and, ultimately, the touring cycle around this as-yet-untitled album. Expect new entries, photos and videos regularly at www.wecraftindarkness.com/

Vocalist Ryan McKenny commented: "Next week, and for the rest of September, we get knee deep in the shit. This record has been a long time coming. It's the first, what we consider, proper LP as a full, solid band. Brian and Chris have been hard at work sweating bullets down in Louisville, loading them up in a death-punk black talon and preparing to fire at will.

"This will be our fifth visit to Godcity with Kurt Ballou, who was, naturally, the most obvious choice. We've always had a great relationship with him, and there is a certain chemistry between our music and his talent as a producer that puts each session at ease.

"To sum it up, there was a certain potential the members of this band felt had not yet been met. On this record, that potential has been fully realized. Get heavy, motherfuckers."
