Antony and the Johnsons, "The Crying Light"

On April 26, Antony and the Johnsons release the Swanlights EP digitally and on 10" vinyl via Secretly Canadian (that's the stark cover art above). Carrying the same name as the band's last album, the EP features the title track, as well as two new B-sides and a remix of "Swanlights" from synth-drone warlock Oneohtrix Point Never (who collaborated with Antony on a remix of the title track to his own LP, Returnal, last year). The 10" vinyl edition will be made available a little bit early for Record Store Day on April 16; a CD release of the EP is also planned for some time in the future. We've got the tracklist below:

Antony and the Johnsons: in arrivo ad agosto il nuovo disco "Cut The World"
Antony Hegarty ha annunciato l'uscita, prevista per il 6 agosto, di un suo nuovo lavoro registrato a Copenhagen con la Danish National Chamber Orchestra. "Cut The World" lo vedrà riproporre alcune canzoni dei suoi quattro album precedenti in una nuova chiave sinfonica; gli arrangiamenti sono a cura di Nico Muhly, Rob Moose, Maxim Moston e dello stesso Antony. La title track è una canzone composta per lo spettacolo teatrale "The Life And Death Of Marina Abramovic" diretto da Robert Wilson.

Antony Hegarty ha annunciato l'uscita del nuovo album "Hopelessness", follow-up del suo ultimo lavoro del 2010 "Swanlights". Il disco sarà realizzato sotto lo pseudonimo di Anohni e co-prodotto dallo stesso Anthony, da Hudson Mohawke e Oneohtrix Point Never. L'artista ha descritto su Facebook l'album in questione con queste parole: "E' una registrazione elettronica con alcuni denti aguzzi".
