Squadra Omega, "Tenebroso" (2009)

attesa impaziente per il doppio LP!
"Tenebroso " e "Rennes Le Chateau" li ho ascoltati tantissimo in questo ultimo anno

non male ho una loro release in vinile: bella grafica, idee interessanti, suono e qualità della registrazione fortemente rivedibili......

invece a me piacciono anche parecchio i suoi e la registrazione,
la release di cui parli è sicuramente "Tenebroso" (in quanto unica uscita in vilile per ora partorita dalla squadra)

una jam notturna registrata in presa diretta con un registratore a cassette 4 tracce...e la registrazione ti fà respirare proprio un atmosfera di altri tempi, quando i musicisti si chiudevano in studio a suonare insieme per ore (magari dopo essersi drogati a dovere) registrando su bobina, per poi scegliere la take migliore da mettere sul disco.

Squadra Omega is a blast!
This brand new psych-rock impro-unit ( with members from some of the best bands of Italian postpunk, rock'n'roll and noise scene like With Love, Mojomatics, Maledetto and Be invisible Now) is at their third album now.
Drums, bass, synths, guitar and saxophone drives this long live session played and recorded at the Outside Inside studio in front of a small number of close friends.
A single track of pure psychedelic vibes, bass and guitar melting in incredible krautrock riffs churning in waves of synths and frequencies.
It's a 25 minutes long landing to the moon!

Non sò se negli squadra omega ci suona anche Marco Giotto (a.k.a be invisible now) ma se fosse cosi sarebbe solo una cosa ammodo perchè fà delle grandissime cose con vecchi synth analogici.

Squadra Omega is a psych/avant/kraut rock collective with former and present members of the Mojomatics, With Love and Be Maledetto Now! devoted to free improvisation, psychedelic jams and mind blow ups.

It is said that all empires are built upon the ruins of previous empires. It is said that destruction breeds construction. In times of deadlocked aesthetics and stylistic stagnation the time is nigh for a destruction of the old and the construction of the new. From the rubble of a post-post modern world, Apollo is rising and he is accompanied by a tribe of psychedelic wasteland fellaheen – the Squadra Omega. The winds are shifting, the fog is lifting and a new age is a-coming. Spaceage Cubist-Free-Jazz clashes with Pygmy-Percussion-No Wave-Kraut Rock causing a sonic fusion leading to a complete derangement of the senses, an assault on the frontal lobe and permanent hallucination. This is music from the Third Eye.
