BOSSK / RINOA SPLIT ANNOUNCED ..


Eyesofsound is set for a strictly limited release that brings together the late Bossk with labelmates Rinoa.



Rinoa follow up their stunning debut EP with new song 'Fires In The Distant North' and live favourite 'Eyes Closed', a newly recorded song that pre-dates the EP. Both recorded in January 2009 at Bandit Studios with Jonny Renshaw of Devil Sold His Soul.

Fresh out of the studio, Rinoa guitarist, Jozef Norocky also of Symmetry speaks about the recording:

"One of the best weekends ever... Jonny is the most accommodating person there is and he's done an amazing job making the new songs sound astronomically huge."

The Bossk side will feature previously unreleased material, details of which are to be finalised with the band. Bossk unfortunately called it a day in October 2008 so rare live material is what can be expected. Keep a look out for further news on this.

To be released only on vinyl with a digital download voucher and limited to 500 hand numbered copies, this release will be available exclusively from Eyesofsound.

In the meantime you can check out a pre-mastered version of 'Eyes Closed' by Rinoa on their Myspace page.

You can also catch Rinoa headlining an intimate show at The Fighting Cocks in Kingston, London on Friday 30th January 2009, support comes from Latitudes and Dragged Into Sunlight.

Bossk/Rinoa Split 12" COMING SOON!



We are very happy to announce that we can now confirm that this release is happening.

This will feature a previously unreleased recording of the new track that we wrote with the new lineup recorded live at The Underworld in 2008 titled 'Events Occur In Real Time'

This song was the only track that we finished writing, and we played it at both our last shows. We had our good friend Arif who plays trumpet in *shels guest on this
track when we played it live in London a few times, and we are really happy that someone recorded it for us with him on.

We wanted to release this track as we are all very proud of it, and want people who
didnt catch our last shows to hear the direction the band was going in just before we broke up.

We are releasing it as a limited LP only, with a download of all the tracks included in the release. So even if you dont own a record player you can still get the tracks, plus you get a sweet looking record too.

We are happy to be doing this with our good friends and label mates Rinoa, who unfortunatly couldnt play our last shows with us. They are one of our favourite new
bands, and advise everyone to check them out here - www.myspace.com/rinoauk. They have just put up one of the tracks from their side of the spilt for you to hear!

This will only be available online, and ONLY available from the Eyesofsound webstore. We were so happy to be part of a label that had so much time and enthusiasum for its bands, and we wouldnt have been the band that we were without them.

We are just sorting out the details for the pre orders, which will start soon. But there WILL be some new merch to come with the pre orders, so if you missed out on the stuff that was left over from the last shows then this is your chance!

Support UK bands and labels, blog sites, torrent sites and other illegal download sites are killing the music industry for smaller bands trying to make a name for themselves. Support the bands you love, otherwise sooner or later they will be gone.

I am also very happy to announce that I have a new band in the works! I have been looking for the right guys to work with since the split, and now I have found them! More news on this will follow very soon, but keep your eyes peeled for more news.

The Trilogy is out now, so please pick up a copy, once they have all gone this WONT be re pressed!

RINOA follow up their stunning debut EP with new song 'Fires In The Distant North' and live favourite 'Eyes Closed' a newly recorded song that pre-dates the EP. Both recorded in Jan 2009 at Bandit Studios with Jonny Renshaw of DEVIL SOLD HIS SOUL.

The BOSSK side features a rare quality live recording of "Events Occur In Real Time" the only song the band wrote after the two EPs. Recorded through the mixing desk at The Underworld in Camden Town, London on 22nd June 2008 and featuring an improv guest appearance by Arif Driessen of *SHELS on Trumpet.

Both sides have been mastered at New Alliance East, Boston, USA by Nick Zampiello who has worked with the likes of Isis, Converge, Torche and loads more.

Strictly limited to 500 copies, this release is available exclusively from www.eyesofsound.com.

NEW POST-BOSSK BAND
We are also well excited to be first to report that Tom Begley, one of the driving forces behind BOSSK has formed a new band. We have heard one demo and it's great stuff that is sure to go down well with those that loved BOSSK as much as us. We're not going to give anything away right now other than that you will be the first to know when the band have posted demos on their Myspace page.
