Members of Converge, The Hope Conspiracy, and Bloodhorse have apparently teamed up to record music as All Pigs Must Die (Death In June fans?). The project is comprised of Ben Koller (Converge), Kevin Baker (The Hope Conspiracy), Adam Wentworth (Bloodhorse, ex-The Red Chord), and Matt Woods (Bloodhorse). The foursome has been at Kurt Ballou's Godcity studios this month tracking material, though plans for said material have yet to be disclosed. si trova.

hardcore abbastanza "metallizzato" (nella colorazione più ottantiana del termine), echi di old school death metal svedese, thrash, d-beat, qualche accelerazione blastbeat, Ben Koller che si diverte a distribuire mazzate come al solito, così come la solita è la botta fornita dai Godcity studios di Ballou.
ma è il songwriting che manca di intensità, oscillando sempre tra poco convinti tentativi di emulare i Converge, e poco ispirati approcci più "in your face", alla Integrity/Motorhead per intenderci.
un disco che ascolti e poi metti via.

ma non era uscito ancora mesi fa? a me pare di averlo da quest'estate...comunque...mi trovo completamente d'accordo con sandro, un disco che abbaia molto forte ma non morde per niente, decisamente tralasciabile.

All Pigs Must Die sign w/ Southern Lord Recs

Massachusetts-based hardcore squad All Pigs Must Die have recently signed a deal with Southern Lord Recordings for their upcoming full-length, due to be unleashed this Summer.

The band's members hail from known modern hardcore/metal acts yet turn their more crust punk/d-beat-driven aggression outward with All Pigs Must Die. The band released their self-titled debut EP on their own Nonbeliever Records in 2010, and have toured regionally over recent months, already amassing a diehard legion of followers.

While little info on the upcoming new album is available for public disbursement at press time, we do know that the unit recorded the upcoming full-length album, entitled God Is War, at Kurt Ballou's infamous Godcity studios, and the album will be coming together for a release during the Summer months of 2011. Complete album info will be released in the coming weeks.

All Pigs Must Die will perform at several events during this year's SXSW, including the Full Metal Texas showcase alongside Rwake, Trap Them, Hull and more, as well as the Power Of The Riff/Southern Lord showcase where they'll tear it up with Trash Talk, Trap Them, The Secret, Eagle Twin, Masakari and The County Bucks. APMD will also be on tour with 'Lord labelmates Nails on their upcoming East Coast dates in March.

per adesso preferisco l'EP, questo nuovo full mi sembra poco a fuoco.
comunque me lo sono masterizzato e nello strereo della macchina è in continua rotazione.

due copertine cattivissime, blasfeme, e due album, un EP e un Full-lenght devastanti! neri come la pece, e non concordo con quelli che dicono che qui si abbaia molto forte senza mordere! soprattutto quest'ultimo God Is War è qualcosa di talmente nero e incazzato che il cuore ti si rimpicciolisce e le vene si stringono, fa paura quasi, e mette un senso di angoscia talmente alto da attivare il sadomaso che c'è in ognuno di noi, ri-premendo nuovamente play appena finito! grandiosi!
